My Own Brassi story

In the beginning of the year 2005, I was looking for the new breed after my Brittany spaniels. I discussed almost all Brazilian terrier breeders in Finland and I found out that this really is my breed.

Kennel Jyvämäen had an beautiful placed on breeding puppy and I left to pick up her right away. Rio took my heart immediately, such a perfect little girl! And surprise, surprise, she wasn´t the only "perfect" girl who left home with us. There were also a very shy, frightened, one and half year old bitch how took all my sympathies - Zina. She was taken away from her former owners due to bad care and she needed a new home.

And we travelled home with two brazilian terriers instead one. Even though our life changed dramatically after they arrived, I have never even thought, was it wise thing to do.

Brazilians are dream breed for horse people. They are clean, athletics, fast, durable, friendly, easy to travel with etc.

In Finland we have growing population of Brazilian terriers and we have more registered dogs than any other countries after breed´s home country Brazil.

Finns Brazilian terriers are well know already all over the world. We have very good dogs here and we all brazilian terrier owners/ breeders should thank those people who has import excellent dogs from Brazil and increased population wisely. We have many different bloodlines and all our dogs are healthy. I think the most influential person in Finns Brazilian terrier breeding has been Pirjo-Riitta Korpinen (also the breeder of my dogs).

In 1995 I left to Denmark to get more experience of dogs and kennel duties. I worked in Kennel Morebess & Longbody´s about half an year and over there I met American dog judge who gave me an opportunity to leave over to USA to learn how dog world works over there. The time in spent in Denmark and in New Your was very instructive.

In 2005 I accomplished basic course for breeders and Kennel name HR´s was assigned for me in 2007. During the years I have took part in many courses and I also have licence to work as an judge´s secretary in dog shows.
